Wind Ensemble

Wexford Sinfonia

In addition to the flagship Orchestra and Gateway Orchestra, Wexford Sinfonia has added a Wind Ensemble to its line up. Formed mainly from wind players that play or have played in Sinfonia and some extra brass and percussion players, the ensemble has practiced once a month since September  2013.

The Ensemble is under the direction of Liam Daly and rehearses in the Fife and Drum band room each month on a Friday night 7.30-10pm.

Players interested in playing in the ensemble can message us on Facebook or contact Alan Mahon directly on 087 6260889. We are particularly interested in trumpet/cornet players. A good standard of playing and sightreading is required as it is not a beginner group.

Wexford Sinfonia Wind Ensemble made their debut with a free concert as part of Culture Night, on 19th September in Wexford’s St. Iberius Church.
